This is a Gear Check, where we want to give you some insight into the wild world of run specialty. Why is it so weird? Because we are, and you are too. The sooner you accept that, the better.
10/16/24: We just got a HUGE restock of these socks because ya'll have been begging for them. Here you go, come and get 'em!
What's the only performance enhancing sock you need? Why, the Injinji x Courtney Dauwalter crew! We're obsessed with these socks and I'm calling it: it's the official sock of the Pumpkin Holler races. So, now you know.
Toe socks give your feet the maximum movement/mobility without being sockless ("toe socks or no socks," as they say). Injinjis also help prevent blisters between toes and that frustrating thing where socks are too tight and they pull on your nail bed, one cause of the purple toe phenomenon.
Your feet have toes, and they're there for a reason, so use them! Think about doing a handstand--emphasis on "think"--, do your hands clench into narrow fists or do they spread out for stability? Easy question, but your feet have the same set up for stability.
Spread those toes!
We've been wearing these socks for everything: trail running, road running, cycling, working, grocery shopping, air travel, cross-training, and just whenever our 'fit needs that extra little something.
Toe socks can be a revelation for some runners. If you're plagued by foot pain (not just the toes! Heel pain too!) you should try toe socks. You might even throw in a toe spacer, Correct Toes, which we now have in store.
Being able to push your body to meet your potential requires you to use each muscle to the max--don't cramp your progress (or toes)!
